Technology Advisory and Support Services (Consultancy Services)

Our Technology Officers from time to time provide Technology Advisory Services to companies on registration of technology transfer agreements, drafting of patent claims for researchers and other services of the Office to various stakeholders.  Indigenous companies that availed themselves of these services were guided on different areas including contract negotiation, acceptable contract clauses, applicable technology fees and other issues which are expected to make the process of registration more efficient.  The services were rendered at no extra cost.

Consultancy Services (CS) Departmental functions

  1. Initiating strategies to source for consultancy services and projects based on the competencies of the Office over the years in the following areas:
  2. Technology Advisory Services;
  3. Capacity building in research related matters;
  4. Franchise training;
  5. Promoting Industry – academia linkage collaboration;
  6. Coordinate rendering of Technology advisory and extension services;
  7. Implementing the International, Regional, Continental and National collaborations with Rendering Technology Advisory Services (TAS) to clients wishing to process the registration of their technology transfer agreements and other related issues;
  8. Organizing periodic workshops and seminars for stakeholders to brainstorm on recent development and adopt best practices for technology transfer transactions in Nigeria;
  9. Oversees the organisation of NOTAP seminars/workshops;
  10. Intellectual Property Training;
  11. SMEs development; and
  12. Commercialization Advisory Services, etc
  13. Managing the skills development programmes; and
  14. Developing and Managing Strategic Partnerships.
